Privacy Policy

• Account information — your email and a username when you sign up.
• Your catches — photos, species, weight, length, location, conditions, and any notes you write.
• Location data — only when you take a photo of a catch and choose to attach a GPS tag. CastLog never tracks your location in the background.
• Diagnostic info — when you submit feedback in-app, we include your app version and device model to help us reproduce issues.

• We don't sell your data. Ever.
• We don't use third-party advertising trackers.
• We don't track your location in the background.
• We don't read your photos beyond the ones you explicitly attach to a catch.

CastLog runs on the following services. We share only the minimum data needed for each:

• Supabase — stores your account, catches, and photos. (EU-hosted.)
• Anthropic (Claude) — receives your catch photo when you tap “Identify with AI” so it can name the species. Photos are not stored by Anthropic after the request.
• RevenueCat — handles Pro subscriptions on iOS via Apple in-app purchase.
• Resend — sends transactional emails (e.g. feedback replies). Your email address only.

If you choose to share a catch to the community feed, the photo, species, weight, location name (not exact GPS), and your username become visible to other CastLog users. You can unshare at any time.

You can export your data, correct mistakes, or permanently delete your account from inside the app (Profile → Sign out → Delete account) or via our deletion page. Deletion is permanent and removes your photos and catches from our servers within 30 days.

CastLog is not intended for children under 13.
